A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
Cartoons know everything.

I don’t know if I should thank Walt Personally, or the underpaid goon who came up with the script for some hopeless forest animals, but in the movie ‘Bambi’ there is a line where Thumpers mum remarks to her devious son of a Rabbit “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” This particular line has resonated with me since I saw the movie – I don’t know if that is because my older sisters were Disney sadists, repeating lines whenever they could, or whether it’s because it was the first movie I remember watching at the cinema’s – it’s beside the point, but for such a simple, and at face value, innocent statement, it certainly has stuck with me, and I believe it profound enough to pass along.

Am I an angel sitting on my halo because I have never said anything that wasn’t nice? Darn tootin’ I am not. Alas, this is one of those grey areas where occurrences and intentions don’t always comply. I used to write about 2 blog’s a day, commenting on this or that – but I kind of realise that anything I said wasn’t really constructive, and everyone knows that no one likes a critic, so I guess I have learnt to shut my mouth and hum Hawaiian beach tunes in my head when I see something that aggravates me.

Is my lack of critique and social commentary a good thing? As far as I am concerned, it is. I never knew a deer could be so freaken smart, but keeping to ones self is very healthy. I don’t feel like I am taking the moral high ground by not commenting, because when morals are concerned, I am afraid of heights. It’s kind of like a sea change, sometimes I don’t have much nice to say, so my silences can be deafening…

I am saying something now though – and Thumpers mum would be really proud… Christramaka (Christmas/Ramadan/Chanukah) is upon us, and now is not the time to worry about he said or she said. Actions speak 10,000 times louder than any words ever do. I have some friends amongst this little community whom I Love and respect very much, they know who they are, and they know I love them very much. For some, it’s not so much Love, but certainly respect – they know who they are as well. As the festive season approaches, please, stay safe and I hope you get your hearts desire over the period.

May Peace be with you all.

All the ones in my neck of the woods are freakin' stupid, what with jumping on the road in front of cars, so clearly there was a reason Bambi's mom made it to the silver screen. Too bad she died: intelligence and acting ability, that's more than most Hollywood stars have.

Good blog. My dad used to always tell me (cynical little me at age 7 and up) that same line: "If you can't say something nice..." and it drove me nuts. But now that I've grown up a tiny bit, it becomes more important, especially in blogsphere where there' s no tone of voice to belie your attitude at the time. 'Course I'm not angel either. (See above comment re: stars.)

Yes, it was well said.

Is that Santa you?

I like what you had to say about "he said, she said".  If there was even ever a time for it at all, it's not now.

Might have done the devil's alternative. If you can't say anything nice, lie. *G*

Merry Christmas, Muggaz.

Finely stated, Old Boy.

Bambi, was the first movie I remember seeing with my dear mother; may God rest her gentle soul.

BTW, developing a thick skin is a charity that too few give to themselves, espeically during this hallowed time of year, and yet who do we owe more to?

Keep punching, Old Boy…
