A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
I will get over it though

I really don’t like being blacklisted…

Oh well, I don’t come here to write on other people’s blog’s I come here to create my own, and as long as I have the chance to do that, I am quite content.

It’s funny – the blacklister on this occasion remarks “I don’t know why you have turned on me… yada yada yada” and then he does not allow me a chance to let him know that I haven’t turned on him, I just find this particular instance or sequence of events leading to my blacklisting very immature…

I know this is stupid, considering the offender of this immaturity is probably 3 times my age, but hey, I call it as I see it, and sometimes the truth can hurt…

I haven’t witnessed a concerted effort to ostracise since I was in high school… it was more frequent when I was 8 years old though, I merely pointed that out, and I have paid the price…

As far as I know, this is only the second time I have been blacklisted, and the first person has un-blacklisted me since… hopefully the perpetrator will realise I have nothing against him personally, and maybe un-blacklist me so I can share the Muggaz love…

If not, it’s his problem, not mine. It doesn’t feel good to have someone be so incensed by your comments that they disallow that privilege, but then again, It probably doesn’t feel good to be told you are acting like an 8 year old by some young dude… by the same token, I bet it feels rotten to have a concerted effort against you to make sure you don’t reach the top 10 blogs as well…

I am sorry if I offended you blacklister, but I know you know exactly where I am coming from, and it is consistent with whom I have always been… If I have turned on you, it is you who says it.

Blog on indeed my friends.

BAM!!!

You are big enough to defend yourself LW, the Sir Peter situation is an entirely different one to the Tracy Givens... Sir Peter is still here, you are still here...

Sorry, but that is the same thing that you are complaining about.  To a new user, they don't know who to listen to or not.  SPM is in the upper group of users- who is to say that he wouldn't be taken seriously?  Does it make it hurt less if you were one of those people on SPM because somebody told you that you should be strong enough to defend yourself?  Does that mean that the person who you are now defending is weak?  You contributed to and supported a thread no different than they one that you are taking a "moral highroad" on.  To say that somebody is "strong enough" to defend themselves is just excusing your behavior.  What you did was no different.

Oh geesh, I don't know what all I missed, but I'll get caught up. All I can say for now is, I'm sorry you were blacklisted. I've been blacklisted and for a few days, had others blacklisted myself. But I know what it feels like to be talked about, to sign on and see articles that you know are talking about you. I know what a lot of things feel like on here.

little_whip- don't throw too many stones, your glass house will shatter.

man....this is drama! lol, remids me of some corny soap opera. I know I might offend a lot of people, but I truly think that this blogging thing starts to take over for some of you people....remember it's just the net...you might have developed cool relations and all that, but just chill out! IF someone blacklists you, who cares, get over it! And if some of you don't like the comments others make, try to respect their views and don't go all balistic! Just thought this might be a helpful reminder.

Pfft... Tracy Givens has been around for 2 weeks, most of the established site never took SPM seriously anyway, and his blog was a direct reply to critisicm directed towards him... there are many similarities, but the situation is very different.

You people are all too eager to twist my words... If I was a terrorist sympathiser, I would be in Afghanistan right now. Just because I know why they do what they do, doesn't mean I would do it myself - why cant you get that into your head?

I guess that's good to know, I noticed you said in LW's thread that it was a good post, so it made me wonder how many enemies I had inadvertantly obtained here at JU - and it is really refreshing to know you aren't one of them!!!

Blog on indeed my friend!!!

Hey Muggaz

you know we all love you, who cares what people say.....your awesome in my eyes...and my eyes are the only ones that matter!!!! lol

Muggaz,

Hold your fire for a moment and indulge me in another moment of weakness I don't defend people (exhibit A: me 'defending' greywar when he was falsely accused of racism), I defend ideas - a much bigger game. And I pump sunshine up no-one's (nose), so when I have a kind word it is legit, not to be your pal.

Advice: Just delete the hateful posts on your blog. Don't give them a platform. Trust me, this really pisses them off. Then blacklist them, you know how annoying that can be. And don't sweat Gid's B-List - he's a good man, but maybe a touch too passionate? You pay a far higher price for peace than I'm willing to pay here; we'd both do well to follow The Middle Way a little closer, I think.

Anyhoo, you are an extremely talented writer and pretty bright guy in my book. JoeU needs you more than you need it - most non-boring humans aren't interested in desktop widgets and bellicose belligerence, something you should keep in mind. You are funny and young and handsome - that's why they hate you. It's pretty obvious to me that JoeU has become a crucible of hate toward all things non-American. How many more non-Americans need to be attacked here before people clue into this? But no matter. Consider the personal lives of your less than cogenial colleagues here at JoeU - various combinations of small, weak, sick, broke, uneducated, and angry as hell, for the most part. I actually feel sorry for the people here who hate me - they lead miserable lives.

You should probably delete this post after reading it, it's dangerous to be associated with The St. Hubbins Experience here. Just know that I think you are the shizz and I enjoy your blog immensely. Which I probably should have mentioned before making certain comments Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to The Outback Pub for lashings of ale and Trivia Night with Aussie expats.

Onward, etc.

All associations with St. Hubbins will be noted on your permanent record.

Your attitude has been noticed, St. Hubbins!! it has been noticed you know!!

on Aug 26, 2004
Well - I can't delete it now, Baker has seen it!!! Damn you St. Hubbins for sullying the Muggaz name!!!

In all seriousness, I probbaly deserve to be second guessed when I say anything about Americans, I am learning the written word can be taken in the worst context imaginable though, and If people want to assume that much about me, I am no one to stop them... I have been here a long time, and hopefully, I have done enough to assure my fellow bloggers that I am not a hate filled vengeance monkey, If I haven't, I suppose it is something I have to work on, I think we both suffer from the same affliction my friend.

You are funny and young and handsome - that's why they hate you

Hmmm... I don't think that is why LW hates me... apparently I am a points whore who deliberately starts fights. Well, I am a points whore, but I am in it for the lovin' the sharin' and the carin' not the fightin'. Alas, my damn conscience gets the better of me sometimes, and I need to follow my friend Angloesque's advice and consult my brain in the future before I respond

Thanks for dropping by man. You to Baker

My point was about the new users.  The "established" people on this site are not going to avoid a blog because what one person says (if anything, those blogs *drove* traffic to the other one).  You can't say that it is wrong to "ostricize" somebody on one blog (and make a big deal of being blacklisted when you insulted the blogger) when you have supported something like it in the past., except it was not one fellow blogger but many.  That is why people started claiming that you think you are morally superior.  You can dish out criticism like crazy, but you cry foul when somebody returns the favor.  Then you claim "sometimes the truth hurts"- but obviously that is only what *you* think the truth is.

These offshoot articles are just flame wars waiting to happen.  They are never a good idea.  If you wanted to post it just to have it read, don't allow comments.  Otherwise, expect that you are going to get views from both sides.

Two old friends

They'll never know the bond we share See ya around...
