A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
BAM!!!

I am sitting at Work here on Monday morning with only 14 hours of sleep since I woke up on Friday morning. Not really advisable for those of you who aren’t party machines… lucky for me that I am hey?

So I did decide to go to Kryal Castle dance party on Saturday night. I ended up getting too wasted at Matts on Friday night, and I had to go out at least once this weekend!!! And I am ever so happy that I did. It was such a great night.

I must admit though – the memory of it isn’t so perfect. I abused a lot of illicit substances, hence the blurriness and sever sleep deprivation.

I drove over to Kevin’s house in Oakleigh to rendezvous with Michael, Dana and Steph… they had already ‘started’ the night if you know what I mean…

My night ‘started’ at about 10.00pm when we got there. We had to avert a police road block that was checking for contraband. We were most appreciative of the tip of earlier from the promoter… Apparently the road block had sniffer dogs, and they nailed quite a few people. Its quite stupid really, because those people are still going to use, and I don’t think being busted once will deter them in the future… they may be a little smarter next time, but the Police scare tactics on the end user will never work, and Pennywises’ ‘Fuck Authority’ will become the mantra. Either way, I am happy, no one busted the mug man, and I was able to enjoy a pleasant evening.

I went to the ‘Pharmacy’ room to start off with – our mate Kris was playing… He doesn’t really play my type of Electronic music… he is more progressive Trance, but I still went and had a dance at the front of the floor to show my support… I couldn’t handle it for too long though – that business poisons my ears.

After I was done with Kris, I cruised on over to the Melbourne Techno Massive (MTM) room. I am good friends with all of this crew… Eoin is a part of it… and they play my kind of music – nice fast hard beats, barely any synthesiser action. I hooked up with Linus and he took me to the hotel room they had at there disposal for the evening. Linus and Adrian had to play at 2.00am, so we pretty much chilled in there for a bit. I went to see Kazu Kimura on the main stage, but it was pouring down with rain, and no matter how high I was, I wasn’t doin’ no dancing in the rain on this particular evening.

Linus and Adrian’s set was very well received. They’re joint act was known as Industrial negotiator - and they played some nice filthy dirty tech, very impressive. We couldn’t have asked for a much better time either. 2.00am is when the party is really starting to get awesome. The room wasn’t exactly full, but the dance floor was crankin, and that’s what you want at a dance party! Peters set was directly after those boys, I stayed for most of it... but I had too many people to see…

I went back out to Michael’s car… I don’t suppose many of you would be familiar with the rave culture… but a lot of the evening can be spent just chillin in the car… People will just take some drugs or whatever as soon as they get to the venue, and inadvertently get too wasted to leave the car… This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because a lot of fun can be had in the car… especially when there are so many other people in the same situation as you, but I can’t fathom the idea of people spending $50 or more for a ticket and then spending the entire evening in the car park… I have never done it… I only try to make 3-4 visits max to the car… usually for about 30 minute periods each.

On this particular occasion I took Linus out to the car to give him some stress releasing Billies. He was most appreciative, and was really wasted after that. I was happy I could do my part.

Back to the room after that… it was fun… a lot of incoherent and pointless conversation amongst friends. After this weekend, I made better friends with people who were merely acquaintances before hand. I was saying to Peter (the head of MTM) that he is doing very well because he surrounds himself with good people…. Myself included of course!

Luckily Kamal had some sense about him… he remembered that Sugar was playing the sunrise set on the main stage… so as soon as I heard that, I got my bottom of the chair and cranked the dance floor action. This is where the evening got extremely interesting.

By this point, I was well and truly on another planet, what a great planet it was as well. I had spoken with my mate Marty from Healesville earlier that night on the telephone, and told him of my spontaneous decision to attend… We were going to hook up somewhere within the castle that night. I had seen several of the Healesville boys in the different rooms throughout the night, but I had almost given up on finding Marty… As soon as I got down to Sugar, I see about 20 people I know from Healesville dancing hard to some crazy breaks and the sun coming up… and Marty was there amongst it!!!

We were both so loved up on MDMA that we gave each other a massive hug and jumped up and down like school girls… the same thing happened with the other Healesville lads that I hadn’t encountered through the night. It sure was good to see those guys.

What made it all the more exciting was the fat beats and the sunrise… its great fun dancing like a maniac, outside, when the sun is coming up, and you should really be asleep… also, the experience was livened up somewhat by the presence of a very attractive young girl who kept on playing little games with me.

I had met this girl before at a party I went to in Healesville… but I was formally introduced… the same thing happened this time, and I was mad. It’s a precarious situation to explain… She saw me checking her out, she saw me smile at her, I saw her talking to her friend about me, and going to walk up to me, but she would turn back and chicken out every time.

Usually I would take control of the situation, and just walk up to her, but her friend would not leave her alone, and I just wasn’t in a perfect frame of mind to stand an acid test with two chicks… while I may be trying to impress one of them, I would have to impress both of them, and my brain simply wasn’t ready for that kind of commitment!!!

So I just danced away, making eye contact and smiling where I could, and I have positioned myself for a swoop. I am just going to get her number of Marty and take a punt… I have nothing to lose, and the worst she can do is say no!!! hahahaha… and from the smiles I was getting, she was either wasted beyond comparison (she didn’t look wasted) or she likes the way I smiled at her… and it would have been a nice smile as well, because I was well happy, and I have never seen a girl move on the dance floor like she did.

The last set of the morning was crappy Scott Alert… an n00b trance DJ who played tracks that are about 4 years old. Nothing new, all stupid, and you have to be really high to enjoy trance, luckily for him, most of the punters were at that stage. I went back out to the car park to see Marty and the boys off, and then made my way back to the hotel room. The MTM room was dying, cause most of the guys went home… so I said bye to those guys, then migrated to another crews hotel room…

I didn’t exactly know who these guys were, but they were friends of my friends, so acceptance all round! It was good to have a bed to chill on for a while as the bong was being passed around! I met some more really cool dudes as well, but I can’t really remember all of their names, they were friendly though…

The drive home was nothing out of the ordinary. We were all pretty tired, and not much activity was going on inside my head… and so was the story for the rest of the day. Matt popped over for a bit, so did Eoin and Andrew… nothing special, just vegged on the couch.

My cousin Rhett came over, because he has a job interview at the university he is attending this year… he lives in Ararat which is 3 hours away, so he just crashed at our house. He is probably just moving 10 minutes up the road from us, which will be cool, cause Rhett is my favourite cousin who I get along with best.

This morning has been rather busy – its taken me about 4 hours to write the Blog, and if it is poorly structured and all over the place, we can attribute it to that. I have also been sending emails and text messages about all my friends organising a birthday gathering of some sort for next Saturday night… We are going to go to the Lounge in the City…

I will keep you posted on girly situation… I really hope it works out, because I am infatuated with a person as much as one could possibly get from just a few smiles and shakes of the hip… and I know she is from Healesville, which means she is down to earth!!!!

I guess it doesn’t really matter either way… I had a grouse weekend though

BAM!!!

Mate, you're nuts Glad to hear you've had fun. Who knows, it might work out and if not, better an opportunity lost than nothing to begin with. Take care Mugz.

I don't have to go out and party anymore; I can just stay home and read about you doing enough of it for the both of us (and then some other people too)!

Seriously, I like reading about your adventures. Keep them coming...
