A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
Chillin' West Side. Aight.

It would be obvious to me that Dodgy people seem to flock to the Western side of Every City.

I have been looking into this a little bit lately, and I have no reason behind this gross generalisation other than mere observations, but in every city I go to, hear of, it seems as though dodgy or outcast type people live in the Western Suburbs.

In Melbourne we have Broadmeadows, Ascot Vale, Sunshine (Scumshine), and Altona. I have grown up in the Eastern suburbs all my life, and all I have heard about is bad news coming from that side of the city, and I don’t travel that side of Melbourne, and I never plan to, the stigma is permanent.

Something we associate with these people are wearing moccasins down the street, having 3 kids before the dawn of your 18th birthday, and driving a VL Commodore. They also have a consistent line of fashion – either Adidas or Kappa tracksuits… otherwise known as the St. Albans (another western suburb) Tux.

In Sydney we have Bankstown and Campbellfield, the same stigma remains. The incidents of theft, break-ins, domestic abuse, it’s all in the statistics… Insurance premiums are much higher in these areas.

We have the same in Brisbane and Adelaide as well!!!!

And I don’t really need to elaborate on the whole Tupac West Side crap.

Do you live in the Western suburbs of your city? Is it the same all over the world? Or am I just going crazy? Am i developing a permanent fear of everything west?

Someone please help me. I want to travel to the west side of every city without any fear!!! tell me these are isolated incidents...

You're paranoid. Unfortunately I can't relieve your paranoia, I live in Sydney's inner-east and the last time I've ventured westward was back in 2001.
