A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
your hopes will only get shot down

Anticipation and expectation will knock you down.

One of my all time favourite bands before this weekend was Incubus… I was a really big fan of their album S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Make Yourself was good as well, Morning View was Ok… their newest album was so crap, I haven’t even bothered learning its name.

The things I like about Incubus are their really raw sound, a lot of great lyrics combined with in your face rock. My favourite songs include Vitamin, A Certain Shade of Green and Pardon Me. There were absolutely no songs of that ilk on this album whatsoever.

It would appear that they have gone soft in the worst kind of way. The CD sounded like a boy band trying to sing Rock and Roll. It was the most over-produced CD that wasn’t in the pop genre that I have ever heard. I was going to buy a ticket to see their concert, and I think I might spend it on Placebo or something instead now.

We were listening through, just waiting for a song with a little bit of guts about it, we were left wanting.

After that, we just listened to Korn’s new CD – I liked the first song better than the whole Incubus CD, it definitely had the power that we were missing.

It weird how you can hold a band/group in such high esteem, and if they do something crap, it’s not even likely that they will get a chance to get in your good books again.

At least I know TOOL will never make a crap album!

I tried replying to this earlier and my damn computer was being a bitchface....
So I will just sum it up and say MMM Maynard Keenan, and do you mean Placebo the band or Placebo the placebo?
Because if u mean Placebo the band, then I like you even more than before. Placebo was like one of my favorite bands when I was in 8th and 9th grade, yes yes!!!
And sorry bout Incubus, it's sad that so many bands and singers end up selling out at one point or another, if they haven't been to begin with... I won't bother to list them all, it's just sad.

A lot of bands come out with a new sound and people say they sold out. Like AFI, one of my favorite groups of all time. I'm not saying that's Incubus, but I hate when bands change and everybody starts hating them. That just irritates me.

The band didn't really change - still the same lyrics and crap... they just were over produced and went softer.

I dont hate 'them' per se.

I hate their new CD!

BAM!!!
