Every one loves Fridays…
I would never work on a Friday or Saturday night unless I was being paid like $100 an hour. Everyone feels great on a Friday. As a general rule, most people saunter into the office, with a smile on their face… more often than not, singing a catchy tune about how its Friday, and how they are going to go out and get wasted tonight and have a relaxing weekend… or maybe that’s just me…
I always find myself singing random little songs in my head… I think I should be a song writer… hehe.
Its not so bad at work on a Friday, because you know you only have several more hours left of the monotonous week, and its not long until you get the chance to break routine and explore what the weekend has to offer. This weekend has a lot to offer me
Last night could have been a big one… but I was just happy to chill at home and watch thought probvoking TV – Charmed… you know what kind of thoughts Charmed provoke right? Hehe. Eoin picked me up from work and just came over for a spliff… catching up on the goss and planning the weekend, Then Simon came over… I like having friends at my house all the time… Its something I never really did when I was living at home… we couldn’t really spark up a joint or have massive conversations without disturbing the peace at home… I would say that’s the best aspect of having your own place.
Originally I was supposed to go to Queensclif tonight… my friend Nicks house… that’s isn’t going to happen till tomorrow though. It was Mills birthday yesterday, so we are hitting the town tonight and getting pissed. The way I figure it, my chances of having a fun time tonight at the pub with an asortment of people my own age, and hot chicks etc. rather than going to QC and drinking in a house with a bunch of people a few years older than me.
There is also the added bonus of Valentines day tomorrow… I believe there will possibly be a lot of insecure females out and about tonight, possibly looking for that prince charming to sweep them of their feet… so I might actually put some aftershave on tonight… I don’t really plan on making any concerted efforts though, my main objective tonight is to spread birthday cheer, and purcahse many a beverage… this will be the first time I have gone out to a pub since my little pay rise with these mates (Portsea pub doesn’t count) and I plan on celebrating the fact that I can afford more beer than I could afford last week
I don’t even think I am going to bother with a cup, I might just get around with a jug or something.
Tommorow the wheather forcast is 38 degrees… so I will be getting up early regardless of my antics this evening… QC is about an hour and a half drive from where I live, so hopefully I can get to the beach by 1pm. I had this discussion with Mark last night… He is a mountain person, and I am a beach person… the freaken psychopath is sick of Summer and is looking forward to Winter… what kind of sick freak is he? In my opinion, you can never have enough summer… Gorgeous tans, happy faces, and girls wearing revealing outfits… what more could you want? Love is always in the air around summer… everyone just feels good. The vitamin E is good for you
Winter can be fun though… but only if you go to the snow. In our great country, I have to travel several hours to get to any semblance of what we call snow… North Americans and Europeans would call it slosh, but we call it snow. Its very rare that we get powder here… We were fortunate enough last season, and I went to Perisher Blue in the NSW alps… we had a massive dump of powder, but for enthusiasts, it wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy the thirst. It was my first time snowboarding… I cant wait till I am in the Swiss alps… or in Austria… then, and only then, will I know what its like to truly carve it up
I have only had the chance to crank the surfing once over the summer… there isn’t really much on offer down at QC, so there isn’t any point of bringing my board… it will just be great to chill on the beach with my friends, and admire the scenery if you will
Wow… I am in such a great mood. I am just anticiapting a great weekend… sure, I have to get through a few more hours of work first… but the means always justify the ends when it comes to appreciating the weekends.
Peace out, and….
BAM!!!
