I just got busted with a cheesy grin on my mouth as the result of a heart wearming moment on Australian TV. Crap.
My friend Brad is over, he drops Tim home from work sometimes... whenever he is here as soon as the time hits 6.30pm he demands that Neighbours be turned on the television. Every time he demand this... i proceed to rubbish the show and say how crap it is... this is no hard guy image i am trying to maintain... i genuine dislike the show. Its filled with B grade actors, and plot lines we have all seen before in roughly 7 other TV shows...
Its crap.
Its good for a good perve though. Boys, you obviously have the Internet... go check out a couple of names - Holly Vallance and Delta Goodrem. They are two choice pieces of ass. They actually have singing careers as well... Delta does at least... Holly was just a piece of ass who tried to sing. The sad thing is that both these fine lasses aren't even featured on the show anymore. What a waste of my time...
Tonight i was just kind of dozing on the couch... and damn my 1980's imagination took me straight to the freaken TV. Why couldn't I just day dream about drinking beer in a pub in the mountains with some gorgeous blonde frauline? why could i just aspire to acheive something? Was i looking to the TV for answers like so many of us do? Who is wearing what? what music is playing in the back ground? what is she doing with her hair? what a re some cool sayings doing the traps? omfg.
I was sucked in, and you know what is crazy? the moment really did inspire warmth... the actors character had just hugged his boss for sponsoring him for a permanent visa to live in Australia... the smile i had was genuine... just think if we had nothing but happy stuff on TV all the time... what kind of world would we live in?
That really has me thinking.
What kind of world would we live in if we didn't have TV at all? could you survive? I certainly know i would have no problems whatsover...
I think the real question here is - could we survive without electronic entertainment? would we be content with thespians renditions of day of our lives in an ampitheatre? Or would we be happy to read the script and play it out in our heads?
What has the entertainment industry done to the world? sure there are moments of happiness like i have mentioned... but behind all that... Is showbusiness as fake and conceited as we are lead to beleive? does anyone care anymore? why is it cool to be pretentious?
My God... TV makes people go insane.
Mwahahahahahaha.
BAM!!!
