A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
oh yeah... thats all they really want...

So I was talking recently with a group of friends as to our preferred choice of song at our respective funerals. In all honesty, I hope I die unexpectedly – i.e. Hit by a tram or something else that I never see coming, so I had best plan my song right now so my eulogy isn’t butchered by some sad song that will make my friends and family cry, so for this reason, I told my friends that I want the Cindy Lauper classic – Girls just want to have fun.

It’s a cool song, and as far as funeral services go, I can’t imagine anything else. I don’t know if I want that song because I like it, or whether it’s because it is relevant to my life (lets face it, I know girls just want to have fun) or whether it’s because I hope to be watching my nearest and dearest from the spirit realm, and watching their faces as classic 80’s rendition belts out around the service.

Other songs to consider would be the Carpenters ‘Leader of the Pack’ and the Archie’s ‘Sugar Sugar.’ I have always been intrigued as to what people would say about me at my funeral, and whilst I would appreciate the reflective demeanours that would no doubt be present, I would like nothing more than the smiles I would no doubt see, and I would love for my family and friends to remember me with a smile on the dial.

Speaking of births, deaths and marriages, I was reading today that a couple in Romania named their kid ‘Yahoo’ in honour of their meeting place – obviously a Yahoo chat program or something. Sooner or later, there are going to be kids named hotmail and lavalife – yet, the probability is that this trend isn’t likely to blast off – maybe it’s my intuition revealing this fact, or perhaps the detail that there are no kids named ‘back of a pickup truck’ or ‘nightclub toilets’ that I know of.

At the end of the day, Girl’s just want to have fun, and I guess they will name their kids whatever they want, and we will all be reminded why at my funeral!

man I can't even remember the name of his one crap movie

the one crap was Mr Acciddent - but I loved Young Einstein and Reckless Kelly. Hugo Weaving was just so funny "That's the British flag" plus how can you fault such great lines as "this movie will be so big we're going to by pass the cinemas and go straight to video"
"Mum's been laundering the company's money"
"Cornflakes" - "Good dog, go get Dan"

But I digress - Yahoo Serious was born Greg Pead - his parents didn't name him yahoo - I guess it's better then icq or hotmail though.

You know after much thought I don't think Apple is not such a bad name - She's the apple of her daddy's eye. It's certainly not the worst celebrity name in the world. Fifi-trixibelle, Peaches, Pixie, Heavenly Hirani tigerlily, Rumor, Scout, Tallulabelle, Frances Bean, Hazel (not bad just old fashioned) Prince Michael 1 and 2, Coco

Also - what are the odds of her actually going to a normal public school. Slim to none - no she will go to a school with famous children who had parents who also named them weird things

Muggaz and Trina: I guess the Yahoo Serious phenomenon must have passed me by because the 'one' movie I was thinking of was 'Young Einstein'. Oh well, I guess there is no accounting for taste (mine, of course).

My favourite all time bad name story is the legendary (or mythical?) one of the British gent named Harold Ringer who married Isabella Bell. She became Isabella Bell-Ringer. It still makes me smile...

On the subject of death, I read something recently (can't remember where) that suggests as we will all know someone who dies in our lifetime and we ourselves will all die one day, why isn't there a subject about death taught at schools. I personally like the way Mexicans treat death - as a celebration rather than a commiseration.

Cheers,

Maso
