A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.

I had a really great weekend just gone now. I just feel revitalised and ready for anything. Its amazing how a good weekend out with mates and no worries whatsoever can assist in picking up your mood.

Well, I have to start at the beginning… I love making new friends… I made heaps of new friends on Friday. On Friday morning I made friends with a really cool chick name Anne from Minnesota… props to JoeUser, because if it weren’t for you, I don’t think this friendship would be possible. It’s just a shit though, because I instantly connected with this lass, we seem to have a lot in common, and she would make a really awesome mate… someone really cool to hang out with… I guess we just deal with the distance and just tell each other about our little adventures instead of making our own… I am sure some good convo’s will ensue – she has already proved useful by telling me about some cool Sublime music!!! Hehe.

Ok, so after hours of chatting with Anne, I decided I really should get outside and enjoy the sun on my day off… I went to my mate Nick’s house, and we just chilled for a couple of hours because he had to go to Uni in the afternoon. I saw his sister again, but she is just being a typical 18 year old chick and ignoring me and the fact that anything happened, which I could not find more agreeable!!! It’s going to be rather interesting if she goes to the beach house when I am down there… I really hope she doesn’t go, but I kind of hope she does, because if she does, she might bring some hot friends… hehe, I am such a hedonistic fool.

Right… Well, Pretty much as soon as I got back from Nicks place, our friend Marty came over… we haven’t seen him for a while, and this was the first time he had been to our house. We just played cards and smoked for a bit. We had to wait for my friend Michael to come over and pick something up before we could go out… he came at about 9.30 and then we got some Hungry Jacks for dinner. I love Bacon Deluxe Burgers. They are great. Anyway… we proceeded to this party in Healesville, and it was easily the best party I have been to in ages. The night wasn’t really that cold, and there were a lot of warm hearted people there to alleviate any chills I may have had. As soon as I got there I was fixed up for the night, and proceeded to get rather trashed. Dancing with pretty little things on the floor, having many a good conversation in the bus with some great blokes and playing bongos by the fire with the hippies. It was 4.00am when we left and I really cannot wait for the next Healesville party. I also cannot wait to try the microdots out that I picked up of some guy at the party… that’s going to be intense.

We were supposed to go to the beach on Saturday… I was going to go and visit my grandma who is old and sick and all that kind of stuff… but we were really in no state to drive anywhere… I slept till about 2.00pm that day, and just watched Futurama episodes in the afternoon. We have exceeded our download limit for the month… but yeah, we have heaps of episodes now!!! Instead of going to visit my relatives at the beach, my mate Tom called me up and we had a BBQ at his place… just the usual crew, Eoin, Andrew, Alina, some guy Ben and my brother Tim… was a good night… a lot of laughs. We were just waiting up at about 12.30am for a soccer game to come on TV… to our dismay there was nothing though, turns out it was a cup weekend in the premier league… the guys just watched lock stock and two smoking barrels and I just had a little nap.

Woke up at 11.00am on Sunday – I had planned on making it to the Island by that time… oh well… I got Tim up and we left pretty much as soon as he had all his stuff. There were heaps of people down at the island – I spoke to my sister this morning and she said she was there for the day on Sunday… it was ok though, cause I only needed a quick mission into the main town to get some bread… as soon as that was done… the drinking was to begin. The Sunday of Australia day weekend is always good. We have a radio station call Tripple J and every Australia day weekend they have the hottest 100 songs released from the preceding year as voted by the public. Listened to pretty much the whole broadcast over many a beer and sausage. Hey Ya buy Outkast got the #2 position, I was really expecting it to get #1, but that was taken by a good Melbourne band who go by the name of Jet – I forget what the song is called though. Rock and Roll is stagnant in Australia as far as I am concerned. Nothing fresh for a long time.

We played a lot of cricket, and then we went to the beach for a little swim… it was soooo much fun. Our friend Glen (who we were staying with) and his girlfriend Jen, with our other friend Mill who was there as well… we swam out to the sand bar and built a massive sand castle… it felt like I was 10 years old again… we just began caning each other with sand and spear tackling each other into the water… After that little adventure we played some beach soccer against Glen’s older brother and his mates… It was old school vs new school… they had a numerical advantage, but we sure showed them!!! I want to play beach soccer forever.

It was 9.30 when it finally got dark… we packed up the goals and trekked back the whole 50 metres to the house (hehe) we were all quite hungry again, so fish and chips were the order of the day… fish and chips when you are drunk and hungry after beach soccer goes down an absolute treat – I would recommend it to anyone. The remainder of the night was spent playing cards and drinking more. I ended up passing out in the front seat of my car with a doona and a pillow.

When I woke up at 11.00am the next morning, there was a massive spider web built right in front of me… some cheeky spider had got into the open window and really went to work while I was sleeping… it was an intricate web, and if it was in nature, I would have left it alone and admired from afar… but it was in my freaken car… so I had to be destructor. I felt rather seedy… I was gloriously happy when I stumbled inside, and the first thing said to me was ‘want some bacon and eggs?’ I am sure I don’t need to tell the masses how good bacon and eggs on toast is after a big night of drinking.

I was really fond of the whole laid back and cruisy attitude of Philip Island… just sipping on coffee and reading the newspaper. WE played some more cards, and then we watched some cricket on TV. We cooked up the left overs from the previous evening, and treated ourselves to a little meal. Our little weekend odyssey was over, and I hate when that happens.

Mill hitched a ride back to Melbourne with me… it was apparent that I was competing on the roads with half of Melbourne, getting back from their long weekend… turns out the roads weren’t that packed at all… it was just a little car accident up ahead that everyone felt obliged to have a little look at… I actually did fear for a lot of people lives yesterday. There were a lot of stupid people on the road, taking silly risks and putting themselves and other motorists in danger… I wish I could personally regulate who gets their licence, this rule alone would take half the drivers off the road, thus eliminating the chance of fatalities, and cutting down green house emissions!!!

So we dropped Mill home, then we visited mum… who wasn’t home!!! It’s ok though, cause we got to see Bronson… I love my cat!!!!

We got home to no bud… so I had to go on a mission… I also went and saw Nick. The poor bugger had been studying all weekend… so I went and gave him a study break. We watched the first episode of band of brothers – the mini series created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks… I read the book a couple of years ago… great book, but now I am watching the series. Nick has it all on DVD, so each time I go over, we will watch chronologically.

That about does it for Australia day long weekend… it was a really good one, and I feel tops. Bring on the Labour day long weekend next!!!!

Peace Out.
