What a non-eventful last few days it has been.
Well… after much debauchery, I am back at work, and I must admit… I am having a fair bit of trouble concentrating. It’s good to see the crew though… I really like my job… the people here a fantastic, and I have a lot of love for them. Especially Dawn… Dawn is talking to me right now about how good the lattés are at Flinders St station… man, she is fantastic, she is one of the most genuine girls I have ever met in my whole life… before she was giving me a lecture on how I shouldn’t speed, because she likes me and doesn’t want me to die… I find that kind of stuff particularly touching… it’s always good to know that someone doesn’t want you to die
I am seriously disenchanted with the cricket though… after spending my last few non–working days vegetating on the couch watching the test match, Tuesday was rather anti-climatic… It was a really good atmosphere around the place though – it was Steve Waugh’s last test, and the stage was set for an excellent finish after Ganguly stupidly decided that he wouldn’t try and win… I rushed to my friend Sean’s house in Kew which is only 8 minutes away from work to watch the final overs… I am glad I saw it, but it could have been way better, it would have been great if we won.
After Sean and Caitlin’s house… I just went home… I was freaken out because I was just so bored… I don’t know why, but I had spent the whole day at work after a long break, and I wouldn’t have minded some good rest, but I was actually quite restless… so I went to Mikey’s house and just chilled over there… Man, was I lucky that night. My car was parked on the side of the road, and a land rover rolled out of some-ones drive way and barely missed my car and ran into another… the other car was totalled, and for some reason, I believed I was charmed!!!! We just watched some James Bond… I wanted to go home and get some rest, so on an add break we left promptly so we could watch the rest at home (the distance between mine and Mikey’s house is just over an add break long) and in my haste I forgot my freaken mobile phone… I really don’t like it when that happens… I feel naked… got it back last night though, so that’s good.
I am pretty pumped for this weekend though… I still have a fair few holidays up my sleeve… I am actually taking my annual leave over Mondays and Fridays until the first week in Feb… so tomorrow is another day off!!! I have to get Ed’s birthday present… I really suck at that kind of thing… luckily Nick has already done some research, he found a good soccer top for $60, so we are just going to go halves… Ed will really like that. We have his birthday BBQ on Saturday night… Saturday will be rather excellent I should say now. We have the BBQ, and Nick and I are already planning a big night… I have a gig that I really need to go to as well in the city that night – Mistress Barbara and heaps of other wicked local talent… this gig is really pushing the boundaries of the dace music culture in Melbourne with the variation of DJs playing, and I want to make sure I am there to witness the crowd and their reactions. Our friend Eoin is actually one of the backers behind the night, and I have been helping him a lot with promotion of the event, so I have a few free tickets…
Its not only the music that is making me excited, it is my new found attractiveness to the opposite sex!!! At the moment I am absolutely oozing confidence and charm, and luck seems to be finding me… its funny how it happens… I went through quite a long period where I was quite depressed because I thought I was unattractive to ladies, but I have since discovered the only reason I was unattractive to them is because I was depressed! Its amazing… I think I am going to have an excellent weekend.
I sincerely hope that it is going to be warm at some stage this weekend… I need to make visitations to the beach again, as my gorgeous tan is fading count sarn it!!!! Hehe… The weather forcast looks promising… sun or no sun, I am positive this weekend will be great.
Peace out.
