I guess you can possibly say it has started.

Let me try and explain something to those of you North of the Equator... now, i know you enjoy beer in summer, and beer in winter... but there is just something about a beer in the evening with your mates when Christmas and New Years is around the corner... i hadn't had it in a while, so my beverage of choice last night was Corona.... its a nice summery beer. I met this dude though last night... in short, he was a wanker. A meat head gym junkie... i complemented him on his arms, as they were huge - and he was all like "yeah, i go to the gym... i dont like the guys down there though, cause all they do is flex and look in the mirror" hehe... i was like "yeah, right... you go there for yourself, not to impress anyone else right?" What an idiot... a few other dudes rock up later, and he starts flexing his muscles and showing them off!!!! hehe... i just said to him "you people can work out all you want, i have no desire, as long as i can run faster than meat heads, i'll be right"

I was rather disenchanted yesterday though - we have this Indian guy at work, and he has been letting the abuse flow thinck and fast because India won the second test series (cricket) I guess its fair enough as well, because i am guilty of letting him have it once or twice on account that India cant play cricket to save themselves, but its ok - Australia will win the remainng two tests... how is that for arrogance

We are actually organising some cricket matches to attend over the summer... I know you poms have Cricket, and you Americans dont have any idea...except maybe Hawaiins, cause they are cool... but you have no idea how good a day at the cricket in the Australian summer with beer and mates is... its a really great time.

Looks as though i will be heading down to the beach for the first time this summer as well on the weekend!!! i cant wait!!! i am fortunate enough to already have somewhat of a tan through some excellent lounging in the sun... but nothing at all beats a day in the surf... NOTHING!!!! except maybe a night in the surf with a fit bird and no clothes

I sort of have the anticipation that this is going to be the best summer of my short life yet... Last summer i was a blithering mess, because i had broken up with my girlfriend of 2 years, and i have had such a good year this year, well, not great per se - but as far learning life lessons, this year has been fantastic. I am pretty confident any naive traits i had are all gone, so i can really just enjoy my last Australian summer for a few years. Its awsome, i hooked up Mondays and Fridays off from work from 19/12 - 2/2... so party up on the long long weekeds for me!!!!
