A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
We are not immune

News reports just in state the Australian embassy in Jakarta has just been evacuated after a bomb went of in close proximity.

It is not known whether the Australian embassy was the target, however, intelligence sources from both the US and Australia have been warning of an upcoming attack.

Reports state 3 people have died in the attack - all Indonesians, however, a statement of intention has been made with this bomb blast, and as an Australian citizen, I am a little worried, as a world citizen, I am petrified.

JI (Jemaah Islamiyah ) are the probable suspects at this point in time, and I just hope this isn't a sign of more to come... watch this space.

BAM!!!

Well, I do hope our leaders are more supportive of your efforts to deal with this situation than many of your leaders have been with ours.

As a point of interest - what kind of news feeds do you get over there, and what have you heard about our leaders? are you referring to Mark Latham wanting to pull out of Iraq? I reckon he is a moron anyway - and he wont be getting my vote...

Considering how close the police forces of Australia and Indonesia are, I seriously doubt the US will be necessary in this particular situation. Mick Keelty has done a great job enhancing friendships with the Indonesian police force, and we can pretty much count on them investigating this fully and finding the perpetrators. The Bali Bombings were a watershed in cooperation, and there's no way that those responsible with this bomb will be able to get away with it this time. The laws apply this time and I doubt it will be long before the organisers are trapped and dealt with.

Good Lord! Your SAS training never leaves you, does it, old man?

It is indeed a terrible event and I doubt either side of politics can do much about this sort of stuff, no matter how tough they talk. It will be interesting to note Australia's reaction to this as compared with our reaction to the Dili massacre.
