Muggaz Adventures
A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.

It looks like my days on the seven seas as a pirate are over... Valve have made it impossible for me to commit sotfware piracy for any longer... I purchased Counter-Strike.
Here is the blurb on the box...
Counter-Strike is the number one online game, Counter-Strike features strategic teamplay set in terrorist vs. counter-terrorist scenarios. Each team is equipped with custom ammunition and equipment, and each player is given the option to upgrade their equipment as their squad completes each mission successfully. Donzens of missions are available, each haveing specific goals such as rescuing a hostage or eliminating key enemy structures. Counter-Strike's authentic brand of realistic terrorist warfare has taken the online gaming community by storm - surpassing all others in it's class - Are you ready to enlist with the best?
Damn straight I am ready to enlist with the best... Counter-Strike enables me to be like Osama... to be like George Bush... and as i walk around various maps, capping dudes... you can enter another little world!
I have been playing CS since 1.3beta... that is about 4 years ago... I have only been a bit part player though. as I dont really like to spend too much time at my computer after I have been looking at one of the buggers all day at work...
My brother is a Counter-Strike fiend... he plays whenever he gets the chance, and if you were to offer a very hot young lady in front of him, and a Computer at the same time, I can almost garuntee he would take the computer... it's a bit sad i know, but in the realm of CS, my brother is king.
The most appealing part of CS is knowing that when you cap some dude in the head with you M4-A1 colt rifle... or your desert eagle, you know they will be sitting at their computer, as mad as can be... call me a shit stirrir - but I just love being accused of cheating just because some dude is an Uber-n00b and I can hear him coming a mile away...
The CD key I had previously been using was not validated by Steam (a half life engine or something used to run CS, all to nerdy for me) So, i had to part with $50 to make sure I had a valid copy....
If it weren't for my brother and my housemate, I probably wouldn't have worried about it, but when us three go into servers, we have a lot of fun just taking the piss out of people who take the game very seriously, and you would be surprised - to some people, living or dying in CS is as important as living or dying in real life!
It was a good idea to purchase CS - because if i wasn't entertained by this little gem of a game.. I would probably be at the pub right now, drinking beer and killing braincells... instead of killing terrorists...
For those that haven't played it, and you have an interest in online gaming, I recommend you give it a go... those that have played it will understand when I issue this warning...
Counter-Strike is more addictive than Heroin

I purchased Counter-Strike Condition Zero a few weeks ago and, at this point, have mixed feelings about it. I'm still a noob to Counter-Strike but an on-line gaming vet with games like Halo and Unreal Tournament. For the first 2 weeks I played the AI to get a basic understanding of everything - obviously, going online right out of the box would just be asking for a raping. The beginner and normal levels were pretty easy to shoot thru but hard and very hard levels were just plain annoying! You start out with level 1 BOT team mates that all get smoked in the first 10 seconds leaving you alone with all the one-shot-wonders. Of course, the conditions for winning the level are much more difficult on the harder settings. You can run out of cash for weapons FAST and dont expect much help from your level 1 and 2 team when all you have is a pea-shooter handgun. Another thing I noticed is the helmet and vest purchase seems like a waste of $$$. I see very little difference in protection when the bullets fly.
I recently decided to give the on-line game a try and have met with no success. I have a legit (purchased) game yet I can't get into a server. Everything signs in properly, I see all the available servers but when I select any server it starts loading up the level and locks up DAMMIT! I've made sure the game is up to date and everything that I'm aware of checks out. My PC is a "barn-burner" (very fast 1 gig of ram, ATI 9800, etc. etc.) so I doubt it's a hardware issue. So....... I've started losing interest and have gone back to Halo and Unreal on-line. If I could get passed this problem I might give it another go but right now.....?
