A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.

Ah, the joys of being young and spontaneous, and having the funds to back it up!

During my weekend adventures with Glen and Lyndon, we discussed going to Europe next year... for a quick 30 day tour... we talked about it in great detail, and by the end of the night, we had decided - We will be going to Europe next August.

I went over to Glens house after we went swimming yesterday evening, and I was greeted with 'lets go to Europe in August this year!' They almost talked me around to it... getting a personal loan, and then just racking off... beleive it or not, Muggaz was the voice of reason.

It's just not financially responsible to get a loan of about $8k to go to Europe... we all have a little bit of money stashed, and Europe isn't going anywhere - we decided that Thailand will be our destination of choice in August

I got on the email to my friend Julie this morning - she is a Travel agent... 10 nights in Phuket at a 4 star resort , followed by 4 nights in Bankok, transfers, flights and buffet breakfast included! all this for $1890 per person!!!

I rang the department of foreign affairs and trade, and my passport is being prepared... at the current rate of exchange, $1,500 AUD spending money equates to 42,000 baht... you can buy a beer for 90baht!!!

We will be leaving in the last week of August, and I am looking forward to it tremendously - I dont suppose any of you have been to Thailand? got anything you want to share? And save yourself, I know all about the lady boys!!!

BAM!!!

sounds way cool muggaz

my brother and his gf spent 4 years in thailand where theyd heard there was a receptive market for american soul/blues musicians. they started out in patpong playing at jerrys famous american club but wound up doin mostly standards (sinatra, fats waller, etc) in 4 and 5 star hotels. they split when the baht flushed in the late 90s.

If you need any advice Muggaz let me know. I've been to Thailand about 6 times now so know Phuket and especially Bangkok well. It's the most awesome place in the world - the nicest people and most awesome sites. Oh, and by the way, in the 7/11 type stores you can get a 500ml bottle of beer for about 35baht Beer Chang is my recommendation.

If you're going to be in Bangkok I can tell you some cool places to go, but check out the Tour East site. Link They do awesome tours. Ask for info on joining scheduled tours (rather than private excursions). They are dirt cheap and the staff are superb.

Anything else just shout Email
