A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
Hello.

At this very point in time, i am in a wierd mood.

If i were to describe it to you, i would say i am very happy, but there is something missing... I dont know what that something is. I have a sneaking suspicion, but i cannot acknowledge my desires as far as that is concerned, because we all know it eats you up in the end.

It's Monday morning, and we have another week to plough through. This weekend just gone was not overly eventful. Friday night was relatively fun. We rocked on to compound to help Linas set up his gear, and it was amazing to see a whole bunch of dudes in Melbourne who were into the same brand of Techno as us, and not come across them before. Everyone in the Melbourne techno community knows everyone else, but these guys were fresh faced and eager, and wanted Linas to play as hard as possible - this is very encouraging. More later.

We cruised on down to Scubar - and i do have to say, i was very impressed. If anything, the night proved how well Pete is connected, because its a great venue, certainly provided with an element of class with the furniture and decor (fishtanks) all it needs is a bit of a name on a Friday night, and i am sure it will be a great success - It will be a good venue for me to haunt on a weekly basis, expecially considering the two happy hours available!

We had to leave Scubar anyways to go and support Linas at this other venue... I have got to say that i really enjoyed myself there... Its a rarity to see young techno enthusiasts just having a great time with the music. Techno enthusiasts have a negative stigma of chinstroking and merely critiquing any DJ or act, instead of listening with an open mind, dancing and generally having fun. No such purists or elitists here, and boy did the kiddies love Linas' set. I left that venue very encouraged for the scene in Melbourne. We need to contact those guys and get them in on Factory - thats another 100 dudes at least!

It was about 4.00am when we left... pretty early by my standards, but i wasn't entertaining any extra curricular activities or substances, so i was just plain tired - i did have soccer and stayed up way late with Linas and Meg just bullcrapping, so, yeah - i was half asleep. Adrian was driving his dads workvan home, and there were these two guys in front of him swerving and just being general idiots... They thought they would be funny and they got behind us and pulled up real close - one of them pulled out a knife and started brandishing it in the general direction of Adrians Rear view mirror, this is when 5 of us have risen up from the back of the van with hacksaws and crowbars (Adrians dad's work van) and i have never seen a guy look so scared in his whole life... it was very funny. When we got home, i just crashed out straight away... Linas Tim and Simon played chess till the daylight hours.

Every single day since last Monday i have been playing chess. Its so much fun, and really develops brain power and logical thought processes. I dont think this is just a phase, because we have a whole crew of dudes of guys who want to play chess, every challenger is another story!!! and in all the times i have played chess, i dont think i have ended with the same board formation twice!

I woke up relatively early to Eoin calling me because he had a splitting head-ache that only herbal remedies would fix, and lets all face it - as Dr Hibert says - There is no tonic like the Chronic... So he came over, which was a good move, because if he didn't i could foresee myself laying in bed all day long... At any rate, i was up, and i had a lot of stuff to do anyway. I was going to go purchase a computer desk, but my sister and he partner Dave told me thay had a spare one, so they were only too happy to bring that over. After they left i spent the afternoon cleaning and vacuuming etc. and Linas was re-arranging his room... while he did that, i went and collected my PC from my brothers house. The setup is awesome now, it really adds to the room, all we need is the Internet which is scheduled for cutover on Thursday... a 512/128 connection with 32GB download limit... SWEET!!!

I was going to go see DJ Craze at QBH on Sat night, but Eoin couldn't get me any free tickets, and i could really justify spending $80 on a DJ I have only heard about. Linas got frees though, so he went.. he said it was ok, Craze himself was madness, but the other acts were a waste of their and his time... so i suppose i made the right choice. He woke me up asleep on the couch at 3.00am in the morning... I went to Tom and Alina's earlier to watch Starsky and Hutch on DVD (the new Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson flick) and i enjoyed it immensely. I got home at about one, and just whacked the TV on SBS hoping for a premier league game. Turns out i feel asleep before the game started, but Linas woke me up just after half time so i caught a couple of goals.

I crashed out till about 14.00pm on Sunday... it was a really long sleep, but i still woke up tired... not cool. Linas was allready up, so i grabbed a quick shower, then we got stuck into the chess again. He told me of his grand desires to be known as a Chess Master - and he is on his way, he is still 5 from 5 against me, but i will get him soon!!!

After chess we had Puns 21st b'day. He is a mate of my brother Tims, and i have become friends with hi that way. It was a full family affair and Pun is Cambodian, so i was feeling a little wierd and ostracised as one of the few Anglo-Saxons present, but when we had the Cambodian smorgasboard/buffet of any food we chosse, any insecurities were quickly alleviated. The food was really really good, and i ate my full. I also met some really interesting dudes who i made friends with. One guy is an young guy from the UK, and he is coming out with Tim and me next week... he also worded me up on what i will need clothing wise when i leave in October/November for which i was most appreciative.

I got home at about 9.00pm, so Linas and i decided to network our PCs and nerd it up with some Lan gaming in Warcraft 3... it was all working, and then twice in a row it crashed for no apparent reason... i suppose we will be getting to the bottom of it this week.

Tonight i have soccer again... we have a bit of a short team, so no substitutions, which means i will be tired... I am just looking forward to getting net installted on Thursday, and then i will feel complete at the new place.

I know this has been a long one, and if you made it this far, my love for you is reciprocated! Thanks for your time!

BAM!!!
