A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.

Hello, my name is Muggaz, and I am a troll.

I like to question people’s way of thinking, I like to perhaps through a spanner in the works every now and then.

As a Troll, you really have to have a dynamic personality, and I am glad to say, that whilst dynamic, I am ever steadfast in what I believe.

There are some people who are only part time trolls – i.e. they turn into trolls at certain times, however, generally they refrain from sharing their opinion, because of a valid fear of ostracism from those who don’t like trolls…

My understanding of a Troll was someone who has nothing constructive to add at all? Someone who picks a fight, just for the sake of picking a fight… When I thought this was the definition of troll, I must admit, I wasn’t so proud to be a troll… It affected my status within the community.

I am more proud than ever to call myself a troll now, because my definition of a troll has been subject to change because of my ‘trolling’

Standing up and saying what I believe, this is an important aspect of who I am – apparently, this makes me a Troll.

Trolls - by my definition, add a bit of flavour to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I have a somewhat overbearing persona, and people perhaps take me for more of a Troll than I really am!

I am somewhat inspired by the term troll in reference to me, because it means I have really gotten to someone, and they only way they can deal with it is abuse the system.

A Blog site where people are encouraged to agree with the powers that be – well, I won’t ever let happen… well, not in this site at least, because the powers that be have whack ideas and are so ignorant to other viewpoints, they are classed as troll viewpoints. This is not true all the time, those powers often have valid and insightful opinions; you had just better not disagree with them!!!

At JU – I am a Troll – Loud and Proud!

BAM!!!

whingers

I gotta ask even though it is off topic for which I apologize... is this the British spelling of whiners? I keep seeing it here and my American accent wants to pronounce it as "win-jers".

hmmmm i thought it was some kinda new windows application but what do i know?

Perfect.  That's exactly how it should be pronounced.

muggaz, I thought your reply on Karma's blog was snide and mean spirited toward her and Brad.  Saying that Brad's idea of action is flying off for a meeting or that Karma is just "lucky" and in turn called her a whiner.  I can see why someone may have trolled you for that but I doubt it was Karma who did it.  She took the time to reply to what you said.  I think you are making some big assumptions there.

I'm with BlueDev.  I thought this post also sounded like playing victim.  If you really believe in stating your opinion, do it.  You will always risk people disagreeing.  If you get personal with your "opinion" you will probably lose points.  I don't see you losing any points from simply stating an opposing opinion.

dharma is right, greywar hehe.

we have been speaking "australian" again, haven't we ?

ok. whingers = "win-jers" (plural) (as grey said it above)

also see:

whinger (win-juh)

whiner (wine-uh)

whinging (win-jing)

whining (wine-ing)

example of use "that shelia is a whinger"

or "i wish that bloke would stop his whining"

you can be a whinger, by whinging.

though, you can't really be a whiner by whining.

there's not really a "whiner". whining is something you do, really, not be.

a whinger whines, though, too. sometimes.

hmm ... no wonder everybody thinks we speak funny, muggaz.

it's because we very patently DO.

Thanks Jill... Thats exactly what I would have predicted you to say.

Sometimes I amaze myself.

If anyone is interested in the article that is referred to here, it is at: https://www.joeuser.com/forums.asp?MID=16&CMID=16&AID=15968#59790

I personally think that 300 points of trolling for one comment is an incorrect assumption.  I'm not even sure that it has been read enough to get that many trolling points unless every single person that read it trolled it.

ive seen a commercial on tv here for red bull energy drink and they try to do an british accent and they say something about whingers. and they pronounce it wit hthe hard "g" sound. is that the british way or the advertising company's just stupid?
on May 26, 2004

Maybe if Muggaz rolls up into the fetal position everything will get all better for him?

The system, obviously, works pretty well. Muggaz can't seem to reconcile that despite his moaning, he is the 5th ranked user on the site.

No one has gotten more troll ratings than I have.  I havne't checked recently but last time I checked I literally had something like 17 times more trolling zaps at me than the #2 user on this site.

Thicken thy skin, Muggaz.

No, honey, they're talking about 'wingers' as in soccer players...y'know, right wing(er), etc?

on May 26, 2004

Just goes to show you, just because you HAVE an opinion doesnt mean you have to post it.  If you do, you run the risk of other people giving you a troll rating.

I stopped commenting on 'opinion' blogs for that reason.  Because no one will ever change another person's mind on here....so why bother?   I comment on interesting blogs, fun blogs, introspective blogs, etc.  I stay away from political commentary, "hot issues" like abortion and gays.

This must be one of those examples of Muggaz simply having an opposing view and "standing up for what he believes in". Because to someone as "whacked" as me, that response was text book trolling.

Ah Bradeth - It be ye olde blog of mineth - so i shalleth sayeth whatever I damn well pleaseth!!! Thy skin is thicketh enough as it is! After all, I have tough Troll hide!!!

I lost another 300 points last night!!! for a comment on my own freaken blog! simply for observing that Jill said something pretty much along the lines as I would have predicted! I had that damn # 4 position down! secure!!! and then haters gotta take me down I have had a few articles, heaps of comments, however, I have 500 points less than what I had a week ago!!! this leads me to beleive that I hold my position as a Troll exceptionally well!

At risk of sounding like another Waa Waa... I will re-affirm, that I care not, just a asking you to think about it a little... I mean, It doesn't help when you are trolled by level 9 users quite often!!! even on your own freaken blog!

If you actually paid attention to what is going on around you Brad, there is a fair bit of dis-quiet amongst the community in regards to the point system - however, guys like BlueDev and Greywar have helped me realise, that I wil always be a troll here, because my particular opinion and stance is more often than not mis-alligned with the 'Community' and those that run it. This is not a problem for me - when it does become a problem, I shall blog some place else... I like being a diamond in the rough I guess I just dont really like the trolling feature at all, I never use it, and in my opinion, it is abused.

bwahahahahaha!!!

Jepel - Excellent picture mate, I really need a club though... what is a troll without a club?

For a guy who has repeatedly said that he doesn't care about points you seem to "whinge" on about it fairly frequently.
