A day to day acount of the whacky and wonderful world of Muggaz - i tend to be having too much fun these days, and often cannot remember moments due to debauchery - its time the internet repayed my loyalty by recording my antics.
Dont make bully mad.

This weekend has been rather depressing.

Some of you may not know the left wing ‘Zealot’ that many consider me to be. I cannot stand conservatives, and I am staunchly against most of the USA’s policies… It’s funny, if you will look at my first blogs, quite a bit of fire and spice amongst them.

Admittedly, I was a narrow minded fool, and I took all Americans for ignorant/arrogant warmongering conservatives, merely because of the fact that I have never had a day to day interaction with them. Several months on, and I know this is not the case because of my friends here at JU.

In all honesty, I consider myself to be an idiot for having the feelings I did against Americans… The qualms I have are not with the people, but with the government – fortunately Mr. Wardell was kind enough to point out that it’s the people who select the government anyway, so I do still dislike the US general public immensely, but I have grown up a bit, and I approach every situation with a bit more of an open mind.

I feel like I a going to get remonstrated for what I am about to say, but really, I don’t care. I am so mad that Al Quada have hit targets in Spain… They did this because Spain chose to send troops to Iraq and have generally been a staunch supporter of the US. Surely Al Quada can recognise the fact the countries like Spain and Australia merely support the US because of political pressure? I.e. Australia could kiss free trade agreement good-bye if we didn’t support, and Spain was probably going for reconstruction contracts. We only have ourselves to blame for bowing to this political pressure, but when the big kid knocks; you give him what he wants.

I thought the enemy of Al Quada is USA, and everyone else was just secondary. Al Quada has proved otherwise, and this is quite possibly the worst move they could have entertained. Europe was by no means supporters of Al Quada, however, any chance of redemption and peace is out the window. I suppose what I am trying to say is, instead of hitting a European interest, they should have stuck to ataching the American interests.

No one will have any tolerance for this rubbish now… I always thought that there would be hope for the world while Europeans were still looking through rose tinted glasses. The Europeans must now realise that as long as they support the US like such, they are susceptible to attacks as well. As an Australian, my biggest fears have just been realised – whether Al Quada can be bothered with us, I suppose that remains to be seen, but we must not discount it after this.

It’s also important for the US to realise that Spain has seen this death, not because of their oppression of Al Quada, or their support of Israel, it’s because they supported the USA.

This War on Terror is losing its shade everyday – its becoming more black and white, the us vs. them mentality is sinking in. The Jihad’s and various Intifada’s will never stop, America as we know it will never give in, and I am very afraid for humanity.

Peace.

Or maybe someone needs to fly some planes into a canadian highrise, or cut off a canadians head before you assholes will stop being jealous of american success and realize we are right

Just wanted to comment on this response, Muggazz stated that effectively you are wishing a mass death upon the Canadians... I don't think she meant it like that. I know that after the 9/11 attacks and the beheading of Nicholas Berg and more recently Paul Johnson, it makes Americans feel a deep sadness. It was a shock and very scary when those planes crashed into the twin towers. I remeber distinctly I was watching the news in the morning for the weather when I first heard about it. It was scary to know that someone made a personal attack against us. Scary to know, that just when I thought I was safe, I wasn't. And due to these personal attacks, some Americans have let their emotions impair their judgement. They feel righteous about going into the affairs of the middle east because they feel as if it's right and they justify it with what happened on 9/11. They disregard the fact that President Bush never gave a clear reason of the invasion of Iraq. The thing is when you go through such a surprising, personal attack you become presuaded easily. You let your emotions take over. You refuse to look at anything/everything rationally. And to a certain extent thats what I believe happened in Iraq. I remeber distinctly watching President Bush addressing the nation and never hearing a clear answer to what , if any, weapons were found and what, if any inteligence, he was speaking of. I don't think the marine was wishing a mass death upon Canadians. I just think she was trying to share her standpoint with us.( not sure if marine is he or she, sorry if I got the wrong sex) If you think about it the way certain Americans do, I think you'll understand in a way. Yes, yes...I know a lot of you don't like the way America is and believe that we act as if we are superior, butting in everyone's buisness....but think it in this way. This is just a scenario. What if your country was bombed. for instance. What if Sydney, Australia was bombed or there was a threat of Antrax. And for Canada, what if the Parliment was destroyed, or a biological weapon was found in Vancouver, BC. How do you think you would feel? Again I'm not saying that because of what the terrorist did to us, we have the right to do what we want in the middle east. I'm not saying that at all. For it was Ghandi who said, "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind." And I still don't have an answer to what we are doing is right or wrong. All I know is that I think America has engaged itself in a war that cannot be won.

and further on about the Marines other comment:
To answer you first question, quit being so naive! Oh no! A few people died! Can we not agree that something needs to change in the middle east? The violence and the genocide needs to end! When has such a change just occured due to peace? We americans have been around a little over 200 years, and look at us! Prosperous, Intelligent, Rich.......these people have been around for thousands of years, and look at them.

and Muggaz replied :Its funny, you bring up the point of being so rightious... yet you remark disinterest at a few people dying... what about the comrad you lost mentioned in reply 30? should no one care because it is apparently for the greater good? Prosperous, yes, Rich, yes, Intelligent... that is a bit brash... And what is your 'look at them' remark supposed to mean? Folks from the middle east a much more cultured than anyone from the US will ever be... those in the Middle East dont need you pity, they need your help, and that does not involve invasions.

Again I just wanted to state, about marine's comment about, 'Look at them.' I don't think she was trying to disregard them or make them seem inferior cause they aren't. I think what she meant is that, they still aren't very structured when it comes to government. Their culture is rich but as far as peace goes, there isn't any. Most of the middle east still set lowers standards for woman. Most woman don't get an education there, and there is a lot of poverty there. The middle east in corrupted in ways that will take years to remodel. And yes they do need our help, but Muggazz explain how we can help them...after all, according to you our attempts haven't worked so far. Explain what we can do? And Muggazz one more thing, : Intelligent... that is a bit brash... this is a hasty generalization. Of course there are idiots and not EVERYONE is intelligent here in America, but I believe to a point we do carry on some intelligence to be the most powerful nation in the country, even though we might not use that power as wisely as we could. I would like to hear your response...enlighten me

I have a question Mugazz, what would you like to happen? How would you have done it if you were in charge of America? In your opinion what is a best way to attack the problem at the source? And as far as hate goes in the middle East, I'm very fearful. I have family members in Iraq and I fear something terrible might happen. And another question....what religion are you Muggaz? Are you a muslim? and if so, can you explain the "Holy" war.

Ok… getting into the hard question already hey Mandeep? I like it!!!

You know what; I don’t know what to do… that is why I am not President of the United States of America… here is the best article I have seen on the matter to date though, in my opinion, correctly isolated the problems in the Middle East, and possible suggestions for action – its long, but I advise that anyone with concern on the middle east read it http://denbeste.nu/external/Harari01.html

The article states where the core problems are… the ‘fat cats’ of terrorism if you will… and believe it or not, but a lot of money comes from the Saudi Oil tycoons that George Bush is so eager to do business with… Terrorism is a Hydra… you cut one head off, and two will grow in its place… you have to hit the body, but how do we hit the body, without creating new generations full of hate?

I am very interested that you would suggest I am Muslim!!! Hehe… I did grow up with a couple of Muslims in my street, so I know about Islam, but I grew up as a Roman Catholic, however, I have kind of renounced that now, and I study Taoism, ancient Chinese philosophy

lol, who would have thought that this was What i was going to stroll upon. IT all started when I went on google cause I recently heard about Paul JOhnson being beheaded in Iraq and how his picturse were posted on an Al quada website. I wasn't going to the site to find his pictures. I accidentally strolled upon the online video of the beheading of NIcholas Berg, and it was very sad...I cried through the whole thing. It was sad because he was only 26 years old, thats so young you know. And it was disturbing cause you can see the knife in his neck and hear him screaming as all the extremists chant, "Allah." sorry getting a little emotional. but anyway I went on google and typed in Al-Quada websites. and your link was the first on the results ...so I clicked on it and strolled upon your article...and I was really impressed with the different arguements...and before i know it read other articles that u wrote. it was really awesome!! btw...do u mind if I add you to my msn?

So Mugazz, do you Kerry can do a better job than Bush if he is elected?
on Jun 23, 2004
As Noam Chomski said - Kerry is just Bush Lite...

No matter who the President of the United States of America is, they are always going to act in the best interest's of the American public, they may taylor to specific campaign contributors, and most of the time their motives are questionable...

No matter who the President is, I have little faith in the oval office, because of all the men behind it... I hate to shatter any illusions, but the President is always a puppet to rich and powerful men pulling the strings... thats my personal beleif, and another occasion where I would happily be proven wrong
